In short: is the TidyCal lifetime deal worth it?

TidyCal is a booking page tool sold as a lifetime deal on AppSumo at $29 for the Individual tier and $79 for Agency, against a Pro subscription the founder prices at $12 a month. Both lifetime tiers cover 10 calendar connections and unlimited bookings, and both keep a reduced TidyCal badge on the booking page plus a 1 per cent fee on payments taken through it. Removing either one needs Pro on top.

Is it worth it at $29?

Read off the plans, the founder's own posting history and the terms the sale site states

For a consultant who already books calls across more than one calendar, yes, and the arithmetic is not close. The argument against it is not the price but the three things the licence does not cover, all of which sit on the Pro subscription and are easier to find after buying than before.

None of the three make the deal bad. They make it a floor under your scheduling costs rather than a replacement for the paid plan.

What follows is a read of the sale page, the deal terms and the founder's own pricing page, checked on 14 September 2026. Nobody here ran the software, so nothing below is a claim about how it feels to use.

  • The sale page lists 10 integrated calendars on both the Individual and Agency tiers, while the founder's own News and Updates post announcing the Agency tier describes 25 calendar connections. A buyer question on the same page quotes an Agency invoice listing 25 and asks why the account shows 10. Neither number has been withdrawn and the page carries both.
  • The 1 per cent fee on paid bookings and the branding removal both sit behind a Pro subscription rather than the licence. Several one star reviews from September 2026 describe finding this out after the 60 day refund window had closed, which is the specific risk worth timing your evaluation around.
  • The vendor FAQ printed further down the same sale page states the lifetime plan costs $39, while the pricing table at the top of the page charges $29. The page has not been reconciled, so treat the tier table as the live price and the FAQ as stale.
  • AppSumo's profile states the company was founded in April 2017 with 1 to 10 employees, while the founder's own description on the page says TidyCal launched in 2021. The product is an AppSumo Original, so the platform and the vendor are the same commercial party on both sides of the listing.

Who can buy it

The deal terms restrict this round to new TidyCal accounts with no previous trial or paid plan. Check that before anything else, because no choice of tier works around it.

What you actually get

Individual at $29 and Agency at $79 share more than the price gap suggests. Both connect 10 calendars, both take unlimited bookings across unlimited booking types, and both collect payment through Stripe or PayPal. The $50 between them buys people: Agency adds four team members, dedicated team pages, round-robin and collective meetings, and the advanced integrations that bring in Zoom and Microsoft Teams. If you book meetings alone, the second tier adds nothing you will use.

Start from what the free plan already does. It takes unlimited bookings on one connected calendar, as the sale page says in its own FAQ, which changes what the one-off price is for: it buys nine more calendar connections, the paid integrations and a quieter badge, not the ability to be booked at all.

Three exclusions are the whole argument. The calendar connection cap is 10 on both lifetime tiers where Pro is listed as unlimited, which is ample for a solo user and the eventual ceiling for an agency running a calendar per client.

The TidyCal badge stays on your booking page. The pricing page lists branding as Normal on the free plan, Reduced on both lifetime tiers and None on Pro, and a founder reply on the listing in August 2026 states it plainly: removing the badge completely requires an active Pro subscription alongside the licence. Buyers who read "custom booking and branding" in the included feature list and expected a clean page have a fair complaint, because both statements appear on the same page.

The 1 per cent platform fee applies to payments taken through your booking page on every plan except Pro, charged on top of whatever Stripe takes. On a consultant billing $2,000 a month through TidyCal that is $20 a month, which is more than the Pro subscription that removes it.

One published figure does not agree with itself. The pricing table lists 10 integrated calendars on both tiers; the founder's own News and Updates post announcing the Agency tier describes increasing connections to 25; and a buyer question further down the same page quotes an Agency invoice listing 25 and asks why the account shows 10. Three statements, one page, two numbers, none of them withdrawn. Anyone relying on more than 10 connections should get the figure confirmed in writing before paying.

Take the monthly rate from the monthly toggle, not the headline. The pricing page opens on annual billing and shows $8.25 a month, which is the $99 yearly price divided by twelve, and using it stretches the payback by about a third. The platform's struck-through $144 goes the other way and is not a price anyone was being asked to pay.

Which tier to buy

Buy Individual if you book calls on your own across a few calendars, you do not take payment through the booking page, and a TidyCal badge on it does not cost you work.

Buy Agency if you have up to four people who need round-robin or collective meetings and the same two conditions hold. The seats are the only real difference, and they are the one thing the extra $50 buys.

Walk if your booking page is client-facing and has to carry your own brand, or if a meaningful share of your revenue arrives through paid bookings. In both cases Pro is the product you want, and the licence is a detour on the way to a $12 a month bill.

If the branding is the sticking point, TimeTuna Lifetime Deal is $49 and lists a custom domain in its entry tier. If all you need is a nudge before calls you already have, Meeting Reminders Lifetime Deal is $9.

Terms can change while a sale is running. The AppSumo deal terms are the version that binds.

The two 60 day clocks start at purchase and run together. Activate on day one, connect the calendars you need, take one paid booking if you plan to take any, and look at your own booking page on a phone. Those four checks answer everything above inside a week, with 53 days of refund window left over.

"Lifetime" means the life of the product, not yours — here is what to check before you buy.

What buyers reported

AppSumo shows 4.34 from 925 reviews. That is their number, not ours.

The full distribution is published, so this part is a fact rather than an impression. Across 925 ratings the listing averages 4.34: 632 at five stars, 116 at four, 85 at three, 42 at two and 50 at one. That places 92 buyers, near enough one in ten, at two stars or lower.

The review text is a different kind of evidence. AppSumo showed five of 925 under a "Most relevant" sort, a sample chosen by the platform rather than a representative one, so the right claim is narrow. Among the five surfaced in September 2026, three one-star and one three-star review raise the same two issues, the fee and the branding, while one five-star review praises paying once and keeping the tool. One reviewer summarised the objection as a complaint that "lifetime here doesn't mean what you think it means".

Two things about those low ratings matter more than the ratings. They are recent, dated between 1 and 11 September 2026, and they describe learning about the fee after the 60 day refund window had closed. That is a timing problem rather than a product problem, and a buyer can avoid it.

The founder does still answer on the record, at length, on questions as specific as how the licence attaches by email rather than by code. For a licence meant to outlive a subscription, that counts for something.

Who it suits, and who it doesn't

Both halves worked out from the limits and terms above, not from who the founder says it is for

Worth buying if you are

  • Solo consultants who take bookings on one calendar and want the bill to stop
  • Anyone already past the free plan's single calendar connection
  • Small teams of up to four who need round-robin and collective meetings at $79

Not worth buying for

  • Anyone who needs their own branding on the booking page, because both lifetime tiers keep a reduced TidyCal badge and only the $12 a month Pro plan removes it
  • Anyone taking a meaningful volume of paid bookings, because the founder's pricing page lists a 1 per cent platform fee on every plan except Pro
  • Buyers who need more than 10 connected calendars, which is the cap on both lifetime tiers and the point where Pro is the only route up
  • Existing TidyCal customers on a paid account, who the deal terms exclude

Common questions about the TidyCal deal

Does the lifetime licence remove TidyCal branding?

No. The pricing page lists branding as Normal on the free plan, Reduced on both lifetime tiers, and None on Pro. A founder reply on the AppSumo listing dated August 2026 says the same thing: removing the badge completely needs an active Pro subscription alongside the lifetime licence.

Is there a fee on paid bookings with the lifetime plan?

The founder's pricing page lists a 1 per cent platform fee on payments taken through TidyCal on every plan except Pro, charged separately from Stripe's own processing cost. It applies to the free plan and both lifetime tiers. Checked on 14 September 2026.

What is the difference between the $29 and $79 tiers?

Both cover 10 calendar connections and unlimited bookings. The $79 Agency tier adds four team members, dedicated team pages, round-robin and collective meetings, and advanced integrations including Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The $29 Individual tier has no team seats.

Can you stack TidyCal codes?

No. The deal terms state there are no codes and no stacking, and you pick one of the two tiers instead. You can move up between the two tiers while the deal is live, and down within 60 days of purchase.

Does the free TidyCal plan already do this?

Partly. The free plan takes unlimited bookings on one connected calendar, as the sale page states in its own FAQ. The licence buys nine more calendar connections, the paid integrations and reduced branding rather than the ability to be booked at all.
