How the site is paid for

Affiliate disclosure

Some links here earn us a commission. None of them change what a page says.

This page sets out exactly which links pay, who pays them, and the decisions that money is kept out of.

  • Commission on some outbound links
  • No paid placement at present
  • Same price to you either way

Outbound deal links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the platform may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change which deals are listed, how they are ordered, or what their pages say about them.

Which links earn

Every commercial link on LifetimeSoftwareDeals.com goes through a /go/ address before it reaches the platform. Those are the affiliate links, and they are the only outbound links on the site that earn anything.

Links to sources at the bottom of a page, links to founders' pricing pages, and links used to back up a figure in the text do not earn anything.

How the money works

The deal platforms we link to run affiliate programmes. If you click a /go/link and buy within the period that site tracks, it pays us a share of that sale. You pay the same price either way. We never see your payment details, and the platform, not this site, handles the purchase, the licence and the refund.

What it does not change

  • What gets listed. The rule for what makes the list is printed on every category page and applied the same way to every product, commission or no commission.
  • The order.Deals are grouped by what they do, and inside each group the quickest to pay for itself comes first. What we earn is not part of the sum.
  • What the page says.Watch-outs are written from the plans, the founder's own update history and the terms the sale site states. A stale vendor, a credit cap or a young company gets stated whether or not the deal pays.

Free licences and paid placement

Where a founder has given us a free licence, we say so on that deal's own page, not only here.

There is no paid placement on this site at present. If that changes, anything paid for is labelled Sponsored in its listing card and the arrangement is set out in the body of the page, near the top, not in a footer.

Where this notice appears

The short form of this notice appears near the top of every page that carries a commercial link, including the pages we keep out of search results. Being left out of search results does not exempt a page from disclosure.
