In short: is the Mentionable lifetime deal worth it?
Mentionable is a tool that checks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Copilot recommend a business, sold as a lifetime deal on AppSumo from $49. Tier 1 covers one website and 300 credits a month, and credits are spent on each scan, page draft and page audit. The listing is early stage, founded in January 2026, with no reviews yet and no AppSumo buyer guarantee on it.
Is it worth it at $49?
Read off the plans, the founder's own posting history and the terms the sale site states
Mentionable answers one narrow question: does an AI engine name your business when a customer asks, and if not, which pages is it quoting instead? A classic rank tracker cannot answer that, and it is the reason to look at the deal. The case against is age and shape. The company was founded in January 2026, the listing has no reviews yet, and the licence tracks three engines where the maker's subscription tracks seven.
No payback figure is given here. The maker prices its plans in euros, from 79 euros a month for Growth, and Growth carries 1,500 credits against Tier 1's 300. A break-even against it would flatter the licence, so compare the credits and the engines rather than the price. Nuwtonic Lifetime Deal is the other live deal here that tracks AI answers.
What follows is a read of the sale page, the licence terms, the maker's pricing page and the listing's questions, checked on 19 October 2026. Nobody here ran the software.
- The deal covers three engines on every tier. The maker's pricing page lists seven on every plan, adding Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Mode, so the licence is a narrower product than the monthly plans it sits beside.
- Credits meter everything. One prompt scanned on one engine costs 1 credit, a generated page costs 150 and a page audit costs 100. When credits run out, scans pause until the monthly reset unless a top-up is bought.
- This is an AppSumo Radar listing. AppSumo states that it has not vetted the product and that the We Got Your Back guarantee does not apply, although the 60 day refund applies to most deals.
What you actually get
The product starts from a URL. It suggests 15 to 20 prompts a customer might ask, which can be kept, edited or replaced, then scans them on a schedule from daily to monthly. Results show the mention rate per engine, the competitors named instead and the sources each answer cites. For local questions it shows the business map the engines return, with your position on it.
The action plan is the second half. For every prompt where an engine never cites you, it lists the pages the engine leans on when it recommends competitors, with one action per page, such as getting listed in a directory, asking to be added to a ranking or joining a forum thread. Recommendations use no credits.
The third part drafts the missing page. Pick a prompt and it produces a markdown page with structured data that follows the structure of pages the engines already cite, and flags the facts only you can supply instead of inventing them. It does not publish, so you fill in the gaps and post it yourself. Page audits check an existing page for SEO, schema and AI readiness.
MCP access, for connecting Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your data, starts at Tier 3.

Which tier to buy
Tier 1 is enough to find out whether the idea works on one site. The listing's own example for it is 10 prompts scanned weekly plus one drafted page a month, which uses the 300 credits, and it is thin for anything more.
Tier 3 and Tier 4 are the agency tiers, at 5 and 10 websites, and the only ones with MCP access. Because white-label reports are excluded from every tier, client reporting stays manual.

Terms can change while a sale is running. The AppSumo deal terms are the version that binds.
The terms state lifetime access, all future plan updates, activation within 60 days of purchase, and the ability to move between the four tiers. There are no codes and no stacking.
The listing does not say which of the maker's plans the licence gets you, so all future plan updates is not tied to a named plan. The maker's pricing page lists Growth, Pro and Agency.
AppSumo says it checked the basics and reviewed the listing for safety, has not fully vetted the claims, and that its guarantee does not apply to Radar listings. The refund window is the protection to use, so decide inside it.
"Lifetime" means the life of the product, not yours — here is what to check before you buy.
What buyers reported
Mentionable has no reviews and no questions on its AppSumo listing as of 19 October 2026, so there is no buyer record to report. The only dated post is a founder note updated on 6 October 2026.
A lifetime licence is a bet on the next several years of a company founded this year, and this listing offers no buyer history to weigh it against.

What has changed
- Mentionable added at $49.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
Both halves worked out from the limits and terms above, not from who the founder says it is for
Worth buying if you are
- Consultants and agencies who want to report on AI recommendations for a handful of client sites, which Tier 3 at $199 and Tier 4 at $399 cover with five and ten websites
- Owners of one small business site who want to know whether AI engines name them at all, which the single website at Tier 1 is enough for
Not worth buying for
- Anyone who needs Perplexity, Gemini, Claude or Google AI Mode covered, because the deal tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Copilot while the maker's own plans track seven engines
- Agencies that need white-label client reports, which the listing says are not included in this deal
- Buyers who want a track record behind a lifetime licence, since the company was founded in January 2026 and the listing has no reviews or questions yet

Common questions about the Mentionable deal
Which AI engines does the lifetime deal track?
ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Copilot, on every tier. The maker's own pricing page lists seven engines on every plan, adding Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Mode, so the deal is the narrower of the two.
How do the credits work?
One prompt scanned on one engine costs 1 credit, a generated page costs 150 and a page audit costs 100. Recommendations, local visibility and the built-in assistant use none. When credits run out, scans pause until the monthly reset and the data stays available.
Can it be used for client work?
Tier 4 covers 10 websites, and Tier 3 covers 5. White-label reports are not included in this deal, so client reporting would be done outside the tool.
Does Mentionable replace an SEO tool?
Not according to the founder. SEO tools track Google rankings, while Mentionable tracks what AI engines answer and which pages they rely on to answer it.
How long do you get to refund or claim the licence?
Sixty days to ask for a refund and sixty days to activate the licence, both counted from the day you pay. The refund does not come with the We Got Your Back guarantee on this listing.
